During the 2008 Summer, CYPN will be helping the Nic art museum with their annual NicFest.  We need many volunteers to help with a variety of jobs June 19-21.  For our efforts we will be receiving recognition on NICfest materials and will be listed as an in-kind sponsor of $5,000.  CYPN will also have a booth to further get our name out there. If you are available to volunteer please call Carrie at 262-3173.

Wyoming Cavalry

Wyoming Cavalry Game May 30th Benefit for the Homeless!

Please come out and help us in this important cause!! Please contact Michelle Alexander for more information or to let her know that you are coming. Thank you.

  1. The game on May 30th will be dedicated to CYPN and our cause.
  1. This will be advertised on the radio, t.v, and at every game starting May 1st.
  1. Over the radio and tv ads they will be asking for the community to bring school supplies to the game. These supplies will help the students be prepared for school all year long.
    1. We (CYPN) need to come up with 4 bins to have at the entry ways into the event center. This is where people will be able to drop off donations for the Students. We may or may not need one of us to stand at the bins. We are hoping that the event center staff will be able to look over the bins for us.
  1. We will be involved in the half time show with Honda of Casper. They are going to have a few of us ride in the back of a pickup truck displaying our CYPN banner.
    1. Also, during half time we will be doing the Female Football catch! 4 CYPNer’s (females only) will be involved in catching as many through footballs as they can. This should be a hoot!!
    2. Michelle and I have approached Honda of Casper to see if they will be willing to donate $25 per football caught to our cause. We should hear back from them soon in regards to the donation.
  1. We will need to designate 4 CYPNer’s to walk around the stadium during the show selling 50/50 raffle tickets. Our cause (Homeless students of Natrona) will get 50% of this drawing. So far at the Cav’s games this year they have had at least $1000 go to each winner of the 50/50, so this is going to be a great way to raise money!! We want CYPNer’s to be the ones selling tickets so they are able to both present CYPN and the cause.
  1. We have also teamed up with Hillcrest Water in the efforts to raise more money. Again, we will be sending a Hillcrest Water jug through out the audience. Over the PA system they will announce that they would like for everyone to please empty out their pockets, and throw your loose change into the water jug for the cause.
  1. There is a Harley Davidson group in town that will be supporting our cause as well. They will be riding into the arena on their Harley’s at the beginning of the game. They will bring on the Calvary Mascot. They will then line up and the Calvary will run in between the bikes when they are announced.  All Harley members will be buying voucher tickets to get into the game.

CYPN's 1st Anniversary Dinner!

CYPN's very 1st Anniversary Dinner was held on Friday March, 14 2008 at the 303 Restaurant in Casper, Wyoming. The dinner was a huge success! Many members of CYPN and members of both Casper Rotary Clubs attended the affair. Speakers came forward to describe the past year’s accomplishments, the history of the Club’s formation, and the Club’s activities.  The food was exceptional and the service very accommodating and helpful.  With the atmosphere being both positive and happy and at times pensive and thoughtful, we shared in the memories of the past year’s successes and looked forward to those to come.  Thank you to everyone who could make it to the event and share with us.  Thanks especially to the Casper Rotary and the 5 Trails Rotary Club for assisting us throughout the year.  Thank you all for helping to make the CYPN a growing success.
